Tempeh Mould Kit – Grow Delicious Tempeh at Home Without an Incubator
This versatile tempeh mould allows you to grow a variety of tempeh types—such as soy, yellow pea, chickpea, lentil, and more—without the need for an external incubation device.
Thanks to its smart design, the internal temperature of the tempeh rises naturally from 21°C to 30°C (69°F to 86°F) within the first 22 hours at room temperature. For optimal fermentation and mycelium growth, the tempeh should be maintained at around 30°C for approximately 48 hours.
The mould is equipped with rubber belts that apply consistent pressure to the tempeh cake, reducing air pockets. This helps prevent spore formation and results in a firm, compact cake fully covered in smooth, white, and flavorful tempeh mycelium.
A thermometer can be easily inserted through a special hole in the lid, allowing you to monitor the fermentation temperature with precision.
These moulds are 3D printed using PLA+ filament, which is food-grade certified by TÜV SÜD and SGS in accordance with FDA 21 CFR 175.300 standards.
