Our pre-poured agar plates (Petri dishes) are designed for the efficient detection and cultivation of yeasts, molds, fungi, and mycelium. These plates promote rapid growth and robust mycelium development.

**Agar Recipe:**
- Agar
- Nutritional yeast
- Malt extract
- Water

**Specifications:**
- Petri dish size: 90mm
- Each dish is sterilized and sealed with parafilm.

**Usage Recommendations:**

1. **Storage:** Keep agar plates unopened and refrigerated (do not freeze) to extend their shelf life. Use the plates within 30 days of purchase.
   
2. **Preparation:** When ready to use, remove the agar dishes from the refrigerator and allow them to reach room temperature. This typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour.

3. **Work Environment:** Conduct all work in front of a HEPA filter laminar flow hood or within a clean still air box to maintain sterility.

4. **Inoculation:** Using clean, sterile instruments, carefully deposit culture samples or spores onto the surface of the plates.

5. **Sealing:** After inoculation, replace the lid on the Petri dish and seal it with parafilm or another adhesive tape around the edge to ensure it remains closed.
