Our straw based sterile mushroom substrate formulated by mycologists for straw-loving species like Osyer mushrooms. Oyster mushrooms grow very well on straw and are the best species to grow on straw. The combination of micro-to-macro particle sizes of straw and wheat bran helps to speed up growth and maximize yield.
Simply inject your selected mushroom strain into the bag through the self-healing injection port. The substrate contains wheat, which provides essential nutrients, giving your mushrooms a strong initial growth boost and allowing the mycelium to spread rapidly throughout the substrate. With this kit, there's no need for additional grain spawn, as it's already included and ready to use.
Note: substrate is hydrated to field capacity.
Use in monotubs, or experiment with trays, buckets, and containers in a humidity-controlled grow room or Martha set up.
Each bag contains at least 1800 grams of substrate mix.
